MODE Switches the remote control mode to operate another device. MARK VCR BUTTONS Controls a video cassette recorder. These buttons are also used for X Studio; for further details, see the `X Studio' section. MARK Check and un-check programs in the recorded TV menu. LIVE TV In TV, AV1, AV2, S-Video2, AV3, AV4 modes, screen returns to the live programme. (Refer to p.37) Brings up the Home menu. LIVE TV M ENU EXIT OK TIME SHIFT TIME SHIFT PIP P R- MENU Displays on screen menus one by one. Exits the current menu. Memorizes menu changes. EXIT Clears all on-screen displays and returns to TV viewing from any menu. PIP PR + SWAP PIP IN PUT VOL MUTE TEXT PR VOL D / E Increases/decreases sound level. (Volume Up/Down) PR D / E Select a programme. (Programme Switchs the set on from standby. Up/Down) LIST Q.VIEW MUTE Switches the sound on or off. TEXT These buttons are used for teletext. For further details, see the `Teletext' section. Note : In teletext mode, the PIP PR +/-, SWAP and PIP INPUT buttons are used for teletext function. ARC Changes the picture format. LIST Q.VIEW LIST Displays the programme table. Q.VIEW Returns to the previously viewed programme. SLEEP Sets the sleep timer. FAV Selects a favourite programme. PIP ARC I/II Installing Batteries 1 Remote control effective range Open the battery compartment cover on the back side. 2 Insert two batteries observing the correct polarity (+ with +, - with -).
