Tips You Must Know!! You cannot bookmark in a state of Stop or Pause. You can set 5 bookmarks at its maximum. 28 29 Locking Locking If you push up the [HOLD] switch of the player, it will be in the state of lock. Listening Music Playing Music Under the state of Pause or Stop, if you press the play button, then the file will be played with the following screens. Stopping the Play of Music Reference!! 30 - Under the HOLD state, no button will work. - Under the Hold state, the power will not be turned on. (HOLD screen will show up briefly and soon disappear) If you press the [Play] button during the music play, the music will stop with the following screens on the LCD display. 31 Adjusting Volumes Turning Up The Volume If you push the [VOL/MENU] button into the direction of VOL+, the volume will be increased with the following screens. Selecting Songs Searching Tracks Under the state of Stop, Pause, and Playback, you can use the [Play] button to search the tracks. Reference! Under the state of Stop and Pause, if you push the [Play] button long, then fast track search will start. Turning Down The Volume If you push the [VOL/MENU] button into the direction of VOL-, the volume will be decreased with the right screens. 32 If you press the button to the direction of FF briefly, the player moves to the next song. If you press the button to the direction of REW briefly, the player moves to the previous song. 33 Selecting Songs Searching Songs During the Play During the play, if you push the [Play] button to either FF or REW direction, then the player will search the current song fast forward or backward. Setting Section Repeat Repeat A-B Mode (Section Repeat within the Current Song) 1 Setting Repeat A (Repeat Sections within the Song played) During the play, press the [REC] button briefly at the position where you want the section repeat to begin. 2 Setting Repeat B If you press the [REC] button again briefly at the end of the position where you want to finish, then the section repeat will be played repeatedly. 34 3 To cancel the section repeat, just press the [REC] button briefly. 35 Lyrics Tips You Must Know!! Lyrics support is only available with lyrics-marked files through "Lyrics Manager." It is only available with MP3 and WMA files with lyrics-marked. If the player is in the state of Pause or Stop, this function will not be available. (Refer to the Page 72) While voice recording, you can pause and resume by pressing the [PLAY] button. Even if you adjust the volume during the recording, the recorded volume will be constant and adjusted automatically. Voice recording will stop automatically if the memory usage nears full, and files will be saved up to the point before the stop of the recording. Sensitivity is subject to change according to the distance of the sound source. If you forcibly take out the battery during the recoding, it may cause a malfunction, and the files you recorded will not be saved. Reference!! 54 Once the FM Radio recording is done, the files will be saved in an FM folder with the following names such as F001.MP3, F002.MP3, and etc. 55 Setting Menus Browsing Menus Using Menu Buttons The Menus of this product are as follows. Refer to the below before use. Setting Menus To use the Menus of the player, refer to the followings. 1 2 3 Enter into the main menu by pressing the [VOL/MENU] button. With the help of [Play] button, search the main menus. Select the main menu after searching. 4 Main Menu There are 14 Main Menus 5 6 Sub Menu Each main menu has its sub menus. With the help of [Play] button, search a sub menu. Select or save the sub menu you searched. Escape from the menu you selected by pressing the [REC] button. 56 57 Setting Menus Setting From the main menu, select the `Setting." LDB This enables the player to display lyrics of the song on the LCD screen. ON ­ Lyrics will be displayed on the LCD screen. OFF ­ Various information including file formats, playback modes, and elapsed time will be displayed. Setting Menus Backup Delete This initializes all the functions set and saved. ON: All the information will be initialized. OFF: Information that a user set will be saved. Fade In Resume This is a function that recovers all the previous settings such as the volume of the last song, EQ, and the position of the play, exactly the same as before it was turned off. ON- Function settings will remain the same. OFF-Function settings will NOT remain the same. The function being turned on, music will be played with the volume turned up gradually. ON: Power is turned on with the volume up by level. OFF: Power is turned on with the volume up at once. 58 59 Setting Menus Recording Select the "Recording" from the main menu. Voice In a voice recording, you can set up to 32/64/96/128Kbps of bit rate. Setting Menus FM In an FM radio recording, you can set up to 32/64/96/128Kbps of bit rate. Display Line in In a voice recording, you can set up to 64/96/128/192Kbps of bit rate. Select "Display" from the main menu. Contrast You can adjust the brightness of the LCD screen. (From 1 through 10) 60 61 Setting Menus Scroll Speed You can set the passing speed (1 ­ 5) of the file name on the LCD screen. Constrast Scroll Speed Back Light Setting Menus Timer Select "Display" from the main menu. Auto Power Off If, in the state of PAUSE or STOP, there is no activity on the buttons of the player for more than [30 Sec/1 /2 /5 /10 Min], the power will be turned off automatically. Backlight Time You can set up the time of backlight duration as DISABLE, 5/15/30/100/200 Seconds and ALWAYS on the LCD screen. Sleep Mode If the Sleep Mode [DISABLE/10/20/30/60 MIN] is established under the state of PAUSE or STOP, the power will be turned off automatically after the designated time. 62 63 Setting Menus Play Mode Select "Play Mode" from the main menu.
