Caution!
A child restraint systems is only effective if used correctly. Please refer to this manual for proper use of the system. Misuse of the system can render the equipment ineffective.
Important!
Vehicle transportation of occupants in the Growth Guidance System is only to be in the forward facing position. The tie-down system is for use only with the GGS tilt base and tie down straps supplied by Mulholland Positioning . The system is not designed for, nor has it been tested otherwise. Do

not transport with the tray in place. Misuse of the product will void the warranty.

I. Growth Guidance System
Safety Harness
The safety harness for the Mulholland Positioning System Growth Guidance System is a five point safety belt. Once the child is positioned in the chair,
place the child's arms under the shoulder straps (b). Make sure the shoulder strap clip (a) is open. Next fasten the straps to the crotch strap buckle (c). Snap the shoulder strap clip closed then tighten the hip belts at the adjustment slide (d). The harness should be snug, but you should still be able to fit your finger between the shoulder strap and the child's shoulders. 1. Shoulder Strap: The shoulder straps are fastened to the neckrest mounting bar.
2. Hip Strap: The hip straps are the lower end of the shoulder straps and are fastened to the steel rings to the rear of the seat bar.
3. Crotch Strap: The crotch strap comes up through the cut-out in the seat. The ends of the straps fasten to the same rings as the hip straps, but are fasted underneath the seat.

II. Growth Guidance System
Car Seat
Note: The toddler size GGS with harness and carabineers is to be utilized as a car seat for children weighing up to 50lbs. The GGS system was crash tested by the University of Michigan (November 15, 1993) within these parameters.
1. Tether Strap: The Tether strap must be used to properly secure the GGS as a car seat. The strap must be secured to a structurally sound integral metal part of the vehicle. This attachment point should be located directly behind the position of the GGS when in use. (Right)
2. Anchor Point: Chose a suitable anchor point as described as above. Drill a 1/4" diameter hole at the selected position. Assemble the anchor point as shown making sure to use the large washer underneath the anchor point surface. Make sure to tighten the anchor bolt securely. (Left)
3. Lap/Shoulder Belt Attachment: Fasten lap/shoulder belt across the vehicle seat behind the GGS . The seat belt is fastened to the chair through three carabineer clips (c) as shown on the diagram. (Right)

III. Growth Guidance System
Transportation Tie-Down
Note: This system is only intended for use by children 50 pounds and under. The system was crash tested at the University of Michigan on August 27, 1993. The tie-down system for the Mulholland Positioning System's Growth Guidance System GGS consists of a 4 point tie-down system with an added upper tether. The system is designed to be used with series "A" or "E" track.

1. Fasten Front Tie-Down To fasten the front tie-down straps, loop the end of the tie-down strap over the front seat bar just inside of the legrest angle adjustment casting (a). Attach the ring on the end of the strap to the hook sewn into the tie-down strap webbing.
To tighten the tie-down straps, pull on the loose end of the strap. The cam will lock the strap in the desired position. To loosen the tie-down straps, press cam where marked "PRESS"
2. Fasten Rear Tie-Down Straps To fasten the rear tie-down straps, loop the end of the tie-down strap around the rear seat bar and over the top of the tilt adjustment castings (b). Attach the ring on the end of the strap to the hook sewn into the tie-down strap webbing.

To release the buckle, push the tab (c) on the end of the buckle and lift the lever open.
3. Fasten Upper Tie-Down Straps To fasten the upper tie-down straps, loop the end of the tie-down strap around the back bars (d) of the chair above the upper sling bar (e). Attach the ring on the end of the strap to the hook sewn into the tie-down strap webbing.
To release the buckle, push the tab (c) on the end of the buckle and lift the lever open.
