Installation and operation
1. The PCL Series conditioners are the perfect accessories for any rack mount system. Install in the top slot of a standard 19-inch rack, and the 8 switched AC outlets on the rear panel will provide full safety protection to all your rack equipment. These conditioners protect your delicate electronic equipment by combining a high voltage varistor surge and transient suppressor with an RFI/EMI interference filter. The filter helps prevent noise from fluorescent lights, motors, and similar sources of "electronic pollution" from contaminating the AC feed to your senitive video, audio, vtr or computer circuits. 2. Plug Power Cord (7) into a standard grounded 115V outlet 3. Plug sensitive electronic equipment into the 8 Rear Panel Outlets (9) 4. Turn Outlet Power Switch (1) to "ON" position. Lit LED indicates conditioned power to the connected equipment. 5. For discreet illumination of your rack equipment on stage, in studios, and in other dark locations (PCL810/815 only), pull the 2 Retractable Rack Lights (2) out and adjust the Dimmer Control (4) for the lamp brightness desired (see fig.1 below). The lights swivel and can be adjusted to the proper angle for your application. The lamps are supplied with standard 5W night-light bulbs. If you find the heat from the bulbs excessive, reduce the setting of the Dimmer Control or substitute lesser wattage bulbs. You can easily replace the bulbs without removing the unit from the rack by unscrewing the cap on the end of each light tube. (Note: Be careful not to push the tubes in while the caps are unscrewed.) 6. The Digital Voltmeter Readout (5) (PCL-815 only) is calibrated to a nominal 117 VAC at the factory. No adjustments are necessary. 7. The Digital Voltmeter Readout (5) automatically displays incoming voltage when the Power Cord (7) is connected. 8. MAXIMUM LOAD: The PCL Series Power Conditioners 8 Rear Panel Outlets are rated at 15 amps total load (or 1800W at 120VAC). If this maximum load is exceeded, the Circuit Breaker (8) will trip, cutting off power to all connected equipment in your rack. If this happens, reduce the load by unplugging one or more units from the power conditioner, and push the circuit breaker to reset it (see fig.2 below).
