The file is recorded as LRXXX.avi and storage in HDD\REC folder. *Schedule Record Automatically record video content at the time you set. You need to set starting time, duration and file name as well as install external device. This device will begin to record and stop recording according to your setting. The file you record is named as TRXXX.avi under HDD\REC folder. Users could assemble suitable HDD according to the following instruction. 1Put the unit flatly on the table, and take out screws which locking rear cover. 2Take out rear cover. 3Take out the housing with main board and front panel from the unit box through back the cover slot. Connect HDD into main board and fix it with screws. 4Lay back the housing with HDD into the unit box through back the cover slot. Then put rear cover on and fix it with screws. 3.3 Hard disk Format The unit support FAT32 HDD formatwe suggest that the HDD only partition for one subarea. Because in WINDOWS operation systemit cannot forma above 32GB FAT32 subarea please choose the suitable format software. We recommend you use the SwissKnife, which produced by CompuApps Co., for example one 320GB HDDpartition it as FAT32, please reference the following steps 1. 2. 3. Choose need intersected USB device Partition: choose Primary. File: choose FAT32 4 Volume: SWISNIFE1 5Free Space shows 6Adjust the capacity. 7Create: starts create. Finish the partitionPrimary shows FAT32 305242MBe.g.1 Free Space shows 0 e.g.2as the below picture Close SwissKnife windowenter to "My Computer"then you can see the HDD that formatted just now. Rename it by the right key of mouse. 3.4 CVBS Output Use AV cable to connect TV as the picture 3.5 S-VIDEO Output Use S-VIDEO cableoptionalto connect TV as the picture 3.6 YUV Output Use YUV cableoptionalto connect TV as the picture 3.7 AV Input Transfer video signal from set-top box or other device to this unit by AV input cable, check TV to see the signal detail as follow: 3.8 USB Connection Connect the unit to PC by USB cable when it power on, you can copy, stick, and delete files. Please reference the picture. Please put the video, music ,and photo into the corresponding\ Film\ Music \Photo catalog. RemarkIf your computer runs on Windows 98/98SE/Mackintosh, the driver is available in the attached driver CD disc. Start line in recording after choosing"Line in REC" Standards: Set up the type, PALNTSCSECAM for option Quality: Set up the recording quality, High, Middle, Low for option REC Timer: Set up the recording time,15306090120150the biggest, totally 7 kinds for option Operation Press [][]to choose the program Press [] [] to edit the content in the setup program Press [Confirm] to record Press [Return] to return to the previous menu Presses [Menu] to display full screen mode 3. Start timer recording after entering "Timer REC" Operation Press [][]to choose 1 program Press [Confirm] to edit it Press [Return] to return to the previous menu Presses [MENU] to delete the file edited Choose one program, then press [Enter] to start timer recording Operation Press [][]to choose 1 program Press[][] to change the setup content Press [Return] to return to the previous menu When setup is finishedchoose[Save]press[ Confirm] to exit the current file and save the content When setup is finishedchoose[Exit]press[Confirm] to cancel the setup content and exit directly Remarks 1Timer rec is functional only in the state of main menuotherwise it will not work. 2 Make sure the file for setup time is not under the same name, otherwise the setup will fail 4.5 FILE BROWSING This menu can browsing all the file and items copied in the Hard Disk Operation Press [][]to choose the program Press [] [] to rotate the page Press [Return] to return to the previous menu Presses [II] to display the file selected or entering the item selected 4.6 SETUP This menu is for choosing the setup Operation Press [][]to choose the program Press [Confirm] to enter the submenu Press [Return] to return to the previous menu The menu content as bellows, Setup menu Setup submenu Language Slide show time Reset setup Version Video Brightness Video Contrast Video saturation TV standards Volume setup Local time Power off Instruction Choose languages on the screen Choose the interval time for picture playback Press Enter button to resume the original set Version number System Display Brightness setup Contrast setup Saturation setup Choose output mode Choose Volume Clock setup and display Set the time for Power off Volume Time Power 5Trouble Shooting If encounter the following problems when using the device, please solve the problem according to the following instructions: Power On no response Make sure the power adapter is connected. If confirm the power adapter is connected well, please press RESET on the rear panel. If above the two items steps are confirmed and still can not solve the problem please contact our Service Department. Fail to find the connecting to PC HDD when The device is turned on USB cable is connected If the previous steps are confirmed and still can not solve the problem please contact our Service Department Transferring speed can not reach USB2.0 standard when transferring data No display or unstable display after Power On Ensure the transferring speed of both host devices and slave devices comply with the standard of USB 2.0 Make sure the connection of AV cable and display equipment is correct Make sure the display mode is correct If the previous steps are confirmed and still can not solve the problem please contact our Service Department Fail to find the files inside HDD Connect the device to PC and make sure HDD is working well. If the previous steps are confirmed and still can not solve the problem please contact our Service Department Go ahead as the following steps: 1turn on the device, connect with USB cable. 2enter "my computer", find the HDD, choose "attribute"and enter it. 3choose "tool", click "start check up" 4click "renovate file system error automatically" 5finished repair, it shows "finished disk check up" ,click confirm 6shut down "attribute", and delete BOOK folder completely 7exit USB connection, and restart ,it will be OK The difference of the left space of hard disk between the computer and the device (more than 0.5 GB) It can not keep time or timer record while cut off electricity Replacing the battery in time.
