Thank you for purchasing an Olympus digital camera. Before you start to use your new camera, please read these instructions carefully to enjoy optimum performance and a longer service life. This manual explains advanced techniques such as shooting and playback functions, customizing functions or settings and transferring recorded images to a computer, etc. We recommend that you take test shots to get accustomed to your camera before taking important photographs. How to read the instruction pages
CARD SETUP -- Formatting the card
Lets you format a card. Formatting prepares cards to receive data. Non-Olympus cards or cards formatted on a computer must be formatted with the camera before they can be used. All data stored on the card, including protected images, is erased when the card is formatted. When formatting a used card, confirm there are no images that you still want to keep on the card.
