The green lamp lights when the focus and exposure are locked (focus lock). Now press the shutter button all the way (completely) to shoot a picture. Green lamp Locking the focus and then composing the shot (Focus lock) Compose your picture with the focus locked, and then completely press the shutter button to shoot a picture. · When the green lamp blinks, the focus is not adjusted properly. Try locking the focus again. Press the shutter button again to stop recording. 3 q button (playback) Selecting playback mode/turning on the power Switches to the playback mode and the last picture taken is displayed. · Press the arrow pad to view other pictures. · Use the zoom button to switch among close-up playback, and index display. The selection screen is displayed. · By switching to another scene, most settings will be returned to the default settings of each scene. g Follow the shooting guide for the settings You can set the targeted items by following the shooting guide displayed on the scene. Press i for setting. Button operations OFF Macro mode off & Macro mode % Super macro mode Turns off the macro mode. This mode lets you shoot from as close as 10 cm/3.9 in. (when the zoom is set for the zoom-out angle) and as close as 60 cm/ 23.6 in. (when the zoom is set for the zoom-in angle) to your subject. This mode lets you shoot from as close as 5 cm/2.0 in. from your subject. Zoom position is automatically set and cannot be changed. Self-timer shooting b NY button Press NY in shooting mode to select on and off of the self-timer. Press i for setting. Y OFF Self-timer on Self-timer off After the setting, press the shutter button fully. Cancel the self-timer. · The self-timer lamp lights for approximately 10 seconds, blinks for approximately 2 seconds, and then the picture is taken. · To cancel the self-timer, press NY. · Self-timer shooting is automatically canceled after one shot. 14 EN c Y# button Flash shooting Press Y# in shooting mode to select the flash mode. Press i to set it. AUTO Auto-flash ! # $ Red-eye reduction flash Fill-in flash Flash off The flash fires automatically in low light or backlight conditions. This emits pre-flashes for red-eye reduction. The flash fires regardless of the available light. The flash does not fire even in low light conditions. Erasing pictures d S button In playback mode, select the picture you want to erase, and press S. · Once erased, pictures cannot be restored. SQ1 2048 × 1536 SQ2 640 × 480 Movie image quality Image quality/image size HQ SQ 320 × 240 160 × 120 2 PANORAMA Creating a panoramic picture Connects pictures from left to right Connects pictures from bottom to top Y: The next picture is connected at the right edge. X: The next picture is connected at the left edge. O: The next picture is connected at the top. N: The next picture is connected at the bottom. Use the arrow pad to specify at which edge you want to connect the pictures, and then compose your shots so that the edges of the pictures overlap. The part of the previous picture where it will be joined to the next picture does not remain in the frame. You have to remember what the part in the frame looked like and take the next picture so it overlaps. EN
