Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-type plug. A polarized plug has two blades with one wider than the other. Damage Requiring Service Unplug the apparatus from the wall outlet and refer servicing to qualified service personnel under the following conditions: A. If the apparatus does not operate normally by following the operating instructions. Leave 20 cm (8") of free space at the top and sides and 10 cm (4") at the rear. This unit will only play DVD discs that match its region number, which can be found on its rear panel (e.g., 1 ). IMPORTANT The wires in the mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following code: Blue: Neutral Brown: Live As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this apparatus may not correspond with the coloured markings identifying the terminals in your plug, proceed as follows: The wire which is coloured blue must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter N or coloured black. The wire which is coloured brown must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter L or coloured red. IMPORTANT A 3, 5 or 13 ampere fuse is fitted in this plug. If the lens on the optical pickup, or the disc drive mechanism becomes dirty or worn, the picture quality may be affected. To maintain the best picture quality, we recommend regular inspection and maintenance (cleaning or worn part replacement) every 1,000 hours of use depending on the operating environment. Contact your Onkyo dealer for details. 6. Installing this Unit · Install this unit in a well-ventilated location. Ensure that there's adequate ventilation all around this unit, especially if it's installed in an audio rack.
