Extreme caution must be used when handling or moving kettle and pouring from the kettle containing boiling water. 17.Scalding may occur if the lid is removed during the heating cycle. Filltheelectrickettlewithfreshwatertothe"MAX"waterlevel mark.Plugpowerbaseintopoweroutlet.Placekettleintopower base.TurntheswitchONbypressingdownonON/OFFswitch.ON/ OFFlightwillturnonindicatingkettleisON.Letthewaterboil. 3. Whenthewaterandunithavecooled,discardthewater.Rinsewith coldwaterandrepeat. 4. Yourelectrickettleisnowreadyforuse. Using your Electric Kettle 1. Positionthepowerbaseonaflat,heatresistantsurface,ascloseas possibletoapoweroutlet. 2. Followcordroutinginpowerbaseaccordingtoexitpatterns.Proper cordroutingwillresultinthepowerbaselayingflatwhenkettleis placedinbase.DOnotoperatekettleifpowerbaseisnotflat.If powerbaseisnotflat,removekettlefrompowerbaseandrepeat cordplacementinstructions. 3. Tofillwithwater,removethelid.Filltheelectrickettlewithwater tobelowthe"MAX"waterlevelmark.NOTE:Donotexceedthe "MAX"waterlevelmarkindicatedontheelectrickettle. 4. Plugtheelectriccordintoanelectricoutlet.TurntheswitchON bypushingdownontheon/offswitch.Theon/offlightwilllightto indicatetheunitison.Thewaterwillheatandtheelectrickettlewill switchoffautomaticallywhenthewaterboils.NOTE:Ensurethe ON/OFFswitchisclearofobstructionsandthelidisfirmlyclosed. TheelectrickettlewillnotturnoffautomaticallyiftheON/OFF switchisconstrained,orifthelidisleftopen. 5. Carefullyliftthekettlefromthepowerbaseandpourthehotwater. 6.
