Pantech is delighted to introduce this brand new portable phone which will keep you constantly connected to the network. This User Manual explains in detail its features and functions and how to use them. Switch off in restricted areas Always switch your phone off in areas where mobile phone use is restricted. Switch off in explosive or dangerous areas Always switch your phone off in areas with explosive or dangerous materials (such as fuels, fuel stations or areas containing chemical goods) and obey any instructions or signals. Do not remove your mobile phone's battery in such areas. Switch off in aircraft Always switch your phone off when you are in an aircraft. The electromagnetic waves emitted by your phone may affect the electronic navigation equipment in the aircraft. Switch off in hospitals and near medical equipment Always switch your phone off in hospitals, and obey the regulations or rules of the hospital. Switch your phone off when using medical equipment for private purposes, if possible. Always consult with the medical equipment's manufacturer or an expert regarding phone use near the medical equipment. Installing a hands free device in your vehicle Install vehicle hands free devices away from the steering and airbag expansion area, otherwise injury may result. Mobile phones and other electronic devices Mobile phones emit electromagnetic waves that may affect nearby electronic devices. When the Left Soft key [(] is pressed while slide is closed, a call is made from the Recent Calls list. When the Right Soft key [)] is pressed while slide is closed, the Music Album function in the MP3 Player menu is displayed. Scrolls through the menu options in Menu mode. In standby mode, Left key [l] displays the Favorite list screen. Right key [r] displays the Messages menu screen. Up key [u] displays the Sound Settings menu, to change the phone's sounds. Down key [d] displays the Contacts menu screen, to find contact names. For details, see "Using the Shortcut Key in Standby Mode". () o c s e If pressed in Standby mode, displays the WAP (Wireless Application Protocol) menu. If pressed while using the phone, stores userentered information (such as a name) or confirms an action. Deletes characters from the display, or returns to the previous menu. If pressed in Standby mode, opens Calendar view. Makes or receives a call. If pressed in Standby mode, displays the Recent calls list. If pressed and held in Standby mode, redials the last number called. Ends the current call. If pressed and held in Menu mode, cancels user input and returns to Standby mode. If pressed and held outside Menu mode, switches the phone on/off. 5 Quick & easy Key Function If pressed and held in Standby mode, connects to the voicemail server automatically. Enters numbers, letters or special characters. If pressed in Standby mode, displays the dialing screen. If pressed and held in Standby mode, enters or exits from Vibration mode. If pressed and held in Text input mode, displays the Symbol input screen. If pressed in Predictive text input mode, switches to Word search mode. Enters an international dialing prefix. In Text input mode, enters the space character. If pressed and held in Standby mode, locks or unlocks the phone. If pressed and held in Text editing mode, toggles between text input modes. Adjusts the earpiece volume in calls, and moves the cursor upwards or downwards in menus. If the phone is opened while in Standby mode, controls the key tone volume. If pressed upon an incoming call, mutes the ring tone . If pressed and held upon an incoming call, rejects the incoming call. When playing MP3 music, adjusts the volume. Turns the camera's Capture mode on. If pressed in Capture mode, takes a photo.
