We hope you will enjoy using your Coiffure Dryer - the hairdryer you can style with. In order to get the best results with the Coiffure Dryer, please read the instructions carefully before use. For a few seconds, hold the blue button (B) down for cool air. Release the button to return to the preset temperature. 6 Speed settings (C, D, E) The Coiffure Dryer is equipped with two settings - "dry" and "style". For fast drying, press the lilac button (C). This results in a high airflow and temperature. For controlled drying and styling, press the orange button (D). This will give you gentler airflow and temperature. When you have finished, press the green "off" button (E). Satin comb (I) With the Satin Comb you can straighten your hair while drying to create fashionable styles. The Coiffure Dryer and Satin Comb give the best results when used right in the hair. The Satin Comb is specially designed to help you enhance the natural shine and gloss in your hair. This is achieved with the unique Airflow-Direction-System (ADS). When moving the Satin Comb down through the hair, the ADS ensures that the airflow is always guided in the direction of combing, aligning the hair cuticles in the right direction (fig. 2). The rows of natural brush hairs also polish the cuticles, making the hair soft, smooth and shiny. 7 To connect: Place the Satin Comb on to the dryer with the ribs on the bottom part of the Satin Comb matching the attachment release button (F). Position the clip inside the top of the attachment in the groove on the appliance (fig. 3). Finally, press gently at the bottom until the attachment clicks into place (fig. 4). To release: Press the release button (F) and remove the attachment (fig. 5). 3 q How to use Use the Coiffure Dryer with Satin Comb in smooth continuous movements from scalp to hairends, so the airstream and the natural brushhairs can best do their work to make your hair look shiny and healthy. By combing the hair constantly in the desired direction, you will bring your hair to a nice, natural basic shape. 4 5 8 q Styling step-by-step Here, step-by-step, is one style you can create with the Coiffure Dryer and Satin Comb. As you become more familiar with the appliance, you will find many more ways - just use your imagination! Step 1 (fig. 6) After washing and conditioning your hair, disentangle by combing it through carefully before starting to dry with the Coiffure Dryer Satin Comb. Please remember that wet hair is more vulnerable than dry hair. Step 2 (fig. 7) Comb through the hair with the Satin Comb several times. Then place it on the scalp, move upwards one or two centimetres and hold in that position for a few seconds. The hair on the scalp will now be dried in an upward position, creating volume and body at the roots. Step 3 (fig. 8) When the hair is nearly dry, comb through again with the Satin Comb. The unique mechanism of the Satin Comb will make sure that the airflow is always directed downward, along the cuticles of the hair, closing them and therefore creating a smooth and soft look. Step 4 (fig. 9) Finish off by sliding the rows of natural brush hairs through the hair to make the hair soft, smooth and shiny. Apply hair spray from a distance of about 20-30 centimetres. Result (fig. 10) 9 q Styling Tips Short hair Lift the hair with the comb to direct the airflow underneath the hair, right at the roots. This will dry the hair in an upward direction, giving your hairdo body and bounce. Longer hair Comb the hair away from the scalp or hold your head upside down and then comb through. Both methods will help to give rootlift and bounce. q Cleaning You can clean the appliance with a small soft brush or a dry cloth. To clean the Satin Comb, detach it and rinse it in lukewarm water. Make sure the Satin Comb is dry before replacing it on the dryer. 10 q Important · · Before connecting the appliance check that the voltage indicated on the appliance corresponds to the local mains voltage. Keep away from water! Do not use this product near or over water contained in baths, washbasins, sinks, etc. When used in a bathroom, unplug the apliance after use since the proximity of water presents a hazard even when the hairdryer is switched off. Always switch the appliance off before putting it down, even if it is only for a moment. For additional protection the installation of a residual current device (RCD) with a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30 mA is advisable in the electrical circuit supplying the bathroom. Ask your installer for advice. Never obstruct the air grills. This product is equipped with an automatic overheating protection device. If the appliance overheats, it will switch off. Unplug the appliance. After cooling down for a few minutes, the appliance can be used again. Before reusing, check the inlet and outlet grilles for possible blockage by fluff, hair, etc. If in doubt, consult your dealer or a Philips service centre. If the mains cord of this appliance is damaged, it must only be replaced by Philips or their service representative, as special tools and/or parts are required. Peigne Satin (I) Le Peigne Satin vous permet de défriser vos cheveux pendant le séchage afin de créer des styles de coiffure à la mode. Le Coiffure Dryer et le Peigne Satin donnent d'excellents résultats lorsqu'ils sont utilisés directement dans les cheveux. Le Peigne Satin a été spécialement conçu pour contribuer à rehausser le brillant et l'éclat naturel de votre chevelure. Le système ADS (Système à flux d'air dirigé), de conception unique, est à l'origine de ce résultat. Lorsque vous déplacez le Peigne Satin dans vos cheveux, l'ADS permet de toujours diriger l'air dans le sens du passage du peigne, alignant les cuticules des cheveux dans le bon sens (fig. 2). Les rangées de poils de brosse naturels polissent également les cuticules et rendent les cheveux doux, lisses et brillants. 13 Mise en place : Placez le Peigne Satin sur le sèche-cheveux en alignant les nervures de la partie inférieure du Peigne Satin sur le bouton de libération des accessoires (F). Positionnez le clip situé dans la partie supérieure de l'accessoire dans l'encoche de l'appareil (fig. 3). Enfin, enfoncez doucement jusqu'à enclenchement de l'accessoire (fig. 4). Retrait : appuyez sur le bouton de libération (F) pour pouvoir dégager l'accessoire (fig. 5). Utilisez le Coiffure Dryer et le Peigne Satin en mouvements doux et continus du cuir chevelu vers les pointes de façon que l'air et les poils de brosse naturels puissent agir de façon optimale et que vos cheveux aient l'air brillants et en bonne santé. En peignant vos cheveux toujours dans le sens désiré, vous donnerez à vos cheveux un pli agréable et naturel. 3 4 5 14 q Mise en forme étape par étape Voici, étape par étape, l'une des coiffures que vous pouvez créer grâce au Coiffure Dryer et au Peigne Satin. Une fois familiarisée avec l'appareil, vous trouverez bien d'autres façons de vous en servir - faites simplement marcher votre imagination ! Etape 1 (fig. 6) Après avoir lavé et passé un après-shampooing dans vos cheveux, démêlez-les en les peignant soigneusement avant de commencer à les sécher avec le Peigne Satin du Coiffure Dryer. Attention ! Des cheveux mouillés sont plus fragiles que des cheveux secs. Etape 2 (fig. 7) Passez plusieurs fois le Peigne Satin dans vos cheveux. Placez-le ensuite sur le cuir chevelu, déplacez-le d'un ou deux centimètres vers le haut et maintenez-le dans cette position pendant quelques secondes. Les cheveux sont à présent séchés et dressés, créant ainsi volume et corps au niveau des racines. Etape 3 (fig. 8) Lorsque vos cheveux sont quasiment secs, peignez-les encore avec le Peigne Satin. Le mécanisme unique du Peigne Satin permet de toujours orienter l'air vers le bas, le long des cuticules des cheveux, ce qui a pour effet de les fermer et de leur donner un aspect lisse et doux. Etape 4 (fig. 9) Terminez en faisant glisser les rangées de poils naturels de la brosse dans les cheveux pour les rendre souples, lisses et brillants. Appliquez un spray pour cheveux à une distance de 20-30 centimètres. Résultat (fig. 10) 15 q Quelques conseils de coiffage Cheveux courts Soulevez les cheveux avec le peigne afin d'orienter l'air sous les cheveux, directement sur les racines. Ceci permettra de sécher les cheveux vers le haut en donnant à votre coiffure volume et souplesse. Cheveux mi-longs et longs Peignez vos cheveux en partant du cuir chevelu ou bien renversez la tête en avant et peignez-les. Les deux méthodes contribueront à soulever vos racines et à assouplir vos cheveux. q Nettoyage Vous pouvez nettoyer l'appareil avec une petite brosse souple ou un chiffon sec. Pour nettoyer la Peigne Satin, retirez-la et rincez-la à l'eau tiède. Assurez-vous que la Peigne Satin est sèche avant de la replacer sur le sèche-cheveux. 16 q Important · Avant de brancher l'appareil, assurez-vous que la tension indiquée sur l'appareil correspond à la tension du réseau de votre habitation. Tenez-le éloigné de l'eau ! N'utilisez pas cet appareil à proximité ou au-dessus de baignoires, lavabos ou éviers, etc. contenant de l'eau.
