SCH550 EngliSH 4 ESpañol 6 SCH550 4 EngliSH Your digital Bath and RoomThermometer SCH550 The Philips AVENT digital bath and room thermometer allows you to conveniently determine the ideal temperature of your baby's bath or room. Your baby can also play with this product safely, since the thermometer is designed to comply with all EU and USA toy-safety standards. Your baby will feel most comfortable in bath if the water temperature is between 97,7°F and 100,4°F . A temperature of 102°F and above is too hot and your baby could get burned! At a room temperature of about 64°F babies feel most comfortable when sleeping. Please read this guide carefully before using the product. Please keep this guide and the product packaging, since they contain important information. .Using your digital bath and room thermometer The digital bath and room thermometer is always ready for use. Just let it float in the water or let it sit on a shelf in baby's room. NOTE: - Mix the water thoroughly before measuring the water temperature. - Put the thermometer in the tub while filling it.This will ensure a fast and accurate reading of the water temperature. - Stir the water while taking the temperature measurement. After about 2 years the batteries may go flat. You can then replace the batteries. 1 Push the measurement unit out of the rubber housing 2 Remove the battery housing cover 3 Carefully remove the empty batteries with a pair of tweezers 4 Insert the new batteries and replace the battery housing cover. Add some silicon grease at the edge of the battery housing cover to improve the water proof characteristics. NOTE: - After replacing the batteries, the waterproof status is not guaranteed anymore. - Dispose of used batteries in an environmentally friendly way. - Do not mix old and new batteries. Uso del termómetro para baño y habitación El termómetro digital para baño y habitación siempre está listo para usar. Sólo hay que dejarlo flotando en el agua o sobre un estante de la habitación del bebé. NOTA: - Mezcle bien el agua antes de medir la temperatura de la misma. - Ponga el termómetro en la bañera mientras la llena. De este modo podrá medir la temperatura de forma rápida y precisa. - Remueva el agua mientras mide la temperatura. Al cabo de unos 2 años es posible que las pilas se agoten. Cuando esto ocurra puede sustituirlas. 1 Saque la unidad de medición de la carcasa de goma. 2 Quite la tapa del compartimento de las pilas. 3 Extraiga con cuidado las pilas gastadas con unas pinzas. 4 Introduzca las pilas nuevas y vuelva a colocar la tapa del compartimento de las pilas. Aplique un poco de grasa de silicona en el borde de la tapa del compartimento de las pilas para aumentar la estanqueidad del aparato. Sólo se pueden utilizar pilas del mismo tipo o similares a las recomendadas. Inserte las pilas teniendo en cuenta la polaridad correcta. Las pilas agotadas deben extraerse del producto.
