PWD303 - ADD ON STARTER INSTALLAER'S GUIDE 1. GREEN/WHITE wire has a 0.8 sec negative (-) pulse upon remote starting. BLUE wire is a constant ground (-) upon remote starting and while engine is running. These wires can be used to bypass (turn off) some O.E. alarm systems as well as control any external relays that may be needed. 2. ENSURE the BROWN door/hood wire is ground (-) in conjunction with a pin switch (supplied) when the hood is open. This is a safety feature to stop accidental remote starting of the engine whilst the hood is open. 3. PURPLE wire detects engine is running... system is factory set for connection to tach wire (-). If connection to an alternator is required, connect to detect +12V when the engine is running and 0V when the engine is stopped. ENSURE system is programmed / set accordingly. 4. Jumper selection Jumper 1 2 function first cranking time engine running detection ON * 0.75 sec. * from tach OFF 1.5 sec. from alternator Note: * Factory default setting. * Ensure power is removed from the module before removing or installing Jumpers 5. Do not try to remote start until the following steps have been checked. Turn the ignition switch to ON (do not start the engine). Open the door and check that the LED is OFF. Start the engine with ignition key in the normal manner. Close the door and check that the LED is OFF. Open the door and check that the LED is flashing. 07-08-356-2 PWD303 - ADD ON STARTER OPERATION GUIDE PWD-303 is easy to use for vehicle equipped with an automatic transmission. Starting can be achieved by the designated button of alarm system. Just press the button on transmitter and vehicle will start after 6 sec. and engine keep running for 15 minutes. To ensure correct and safe remote starting the following must be observed: 1. Ignition off. 2. Hand brake on. 3. Door and hood closed. 4. Park gear. 5. Brake Pedal released. Remote engine start procedures: 1. Ignition on. 2. Cranking time 0.75 second or 1.5 second depending on engine and programming. 3. Lights flash if started successfully. 4. Acc on after 15 seconds of engine running. Please note: 1. Door and hood can be opened after engine has been remotely started. 2. If remote engine starting fails, system will automatically re-crank up to 5 times, each re-try 0.25 sec will be added to the crank time. 07-08-355-3
