User guide REVOX EXCEPTION - BROCHURE
Detailed instructions for use are in the User's Guide. Revox Exception
Close encounters of the sound kind
New dimensions are created when design and technology come together. Exception. Extravagant design, first-class sound, perfect construction. Truly an exceptional experience.
The Philosophy of Excellence
of Switzerland
Open up new dimensions in sound
Exception, the far from ordinary audio system from Revox which manages to combine contradictions; sophisticated, userfriendly technology and innovative design.
One simple press of a button and the perfect sound world of the Exception system is open to you. Finding your way through the User menu is child's play; all the information you need is available at a glance. And with the selfteaching SRC 2000 infrared remote control, you can control not only the complete unit but up to seven further devices as well. From a design point of view, with its high quality aluminium housing, the system belongs to the High-End class. The housing is built by hand form over 35 individual parts. Stacking the components is just one of the many system-layout options. It doesn't matter which layout you choose, the Exception Audio System is bound to turn all heads. The technology, the design and the sound of the individual Exception components have impressed even the most demanding editors of the high-end magazine Audio. Exception from Revox is "a system, which sets new standards as much by its impressive sound as by its extravagant design". All components are cleverly balanced with each other, thanks to the unique connection system developed by Revox. A perfect unit, which is simple to operate.
E 450 Amplifier
E 460 FM Tuner
Musical enjoyment for demanding listeners
The E 450 Amplifier, at the heart of the Exception audio system, satisfies the highest demands from both a technical and a sound point-of-view. With its 2 x 200 watt sine-wave power, it will delight your senses with incredible music reproduction. Its attention to detail can be experienced in the high tone ranges and it delivers full and well-rounded bass sounds. A pre-stage with sound control is switched ahead of the symmetrical, high-speed output stages. The E 450 is designed to meet all requirements with connection possibilities for two loudspeaker pairs, up to 8 devices and two outputs for recording. Needless to say, the E 450 is Multiroom-capable so you can use the amplifier in up to 10 rooms at the same time. For further information, please request further brochures about Multiroom.
Reception with crystal clear sound
Listening to the radio can be a pure joy. With its high-sensitivity input circuits, the E 460 can pick up even the smallest signals. Even when stations are on neighbouring frequencies, the exceptional signal separation delivers a crystal clear reception, rich in detail and expression. Turn the next radio concert into a true HiFi experience. With the E 460, you can store up to 50 of your favourite stations and the RDS decoder displays the station name and further information, such as the title and performer, automatically on the generously-sized LCD display.
Multiroom brings the perfection of Exception into every room
Now you can enjoy your Exception audio system throughout the whole house, in up to 10 different rooms. Perfect sound wherever you want it; in the kitchen, in the bathroom, in the fitness room... Your Revox dealer will be happy to give you more information.
E 426 CD Player
CD sound in high-end quality
The stylish, operator-friendly Top-Loader belongs in the upper echelons of CD players. Even the opening of the CD drawer has got style. When you press the button, the two shutters glide silently back to reveal the top-quality aluminium, vibration-free compartment where the CD drive is located. The internal workings of the E 426 are concealed behind the impressive housing. The new generation Hall Motor drive excels with its fast start-up, its quiet running and low friction levels. The strict separation of analogue and digital circuits, even down to using separate transformers, ensures optimum sound and minimal cross-influencing between the signals. The highend electronic components used guarantee optimised signal preparation and transfer it without distorting to the outputs. A perfect sound with a recognisable texture; a powerful bass and an open and clear treble. With its symmetrical and asymmetrical connections, the E 426 can give the outside world all it has... and that's a lot.
Extra large displays and an intuitive user guidance system makes operation simple.
The tuner display shows the name of the station, the current title and the artist. Up to 50 stations can be stored.
