Installation
Using the drilling template found on page 16 of this manual, the installation of the M200 Domotic interface can be carried out very quickly and simply. The interface can be fixed in one of two ways. The first option is to screw the unit to the wall using the four screw holes, located at the corners. This would be advantageous if your are making a permanent installation. If you want flexibility of installation, REVOX recommends the use of the slotted holes on the sides. You should cut out the drilling template found on page 16, hold it at the required position and mark the holes for the screws. Now you can screw the Domotic interface on the wall or your selected installation location, with the screws provided.

Connection: M200 with M 5 1 Socket: M51 LINK IN The M200 Domotic interface is connected to the M51 LINK socket on the back of the M51 with the telephone cable supplied. If you want to use a different cable for some reason, you should use only a noncrossed, 4-core telephone cable with an RJ11 plug (6P4C modular). Cables up to 100 metres in length can be used. Connection: M200 with external interfaces Socket: M51 LINK OUT The M51 LINK can be used to connect additional external interfaces to the Domotic interface. These could, for example, be the M201 IR interface or simply an additional M200. You should use only a noncrossed, 4-core telephone cable with an RJ11 plug (6P4C modular) for this connection.
Connection: M200 with serial interface Socket: RS 232 The RS232 interface can be used to connect the Domotic interface to other devices that also have a serial interface. These devices however, must have a special REVOX protocol and for that reason, are only available from REVOX and its partners. Cables up to 10 metres in length can be used.

Connection: M200 input Socket CONTROL: INPUT A B Using INPUT A and INPUT B, you can trigger specific events at the M51. This is done by applying a voltage between 5 and 24 volts (DC) to the corresponding input. There are various options that can be carried out when the input is supplied with voltage, as shown in the graphic on the right. The Options menu is called by pressing the Setup key on the Domotic interface and the following display appears immediately on the M51:
The following source options are available:
DVD/CD Tuner Tape Aux1 Aux2 Aux3 Local TV Power On Power Off System Off Mute (Toggle)* Light Dimmer Not Used
DVD/CD - TV M 5 1 is switched on with and/or switches over to the corresponding source. Power On: Switches the M 5 1 on with the last activated source. Power Off Switches the M 5 1 off. System Off Switces the complete system, including any additional rooms off.
* Only with the 5.1 Decoder MK II
The required option can be selected from an option loop by pressing the Input und Input softkeys.

Mute (Toggle)* This toggles the mute function of the M51 and is only possible in conjunction with the 5.1 Decoder Module MK II. Light Dimmer Activates the voltage output dimmer function (Output 0-10V) with Toggle-Automatic. Not Used Deactivates the corresponding input.
Please note !
When you are selecting the source, you should be aware that the source that has been assigned to the corresponding button in the Remote menu will be selected. If a source is disabled through the Remote menu, it will not be activated, even when it is selected in the input option. Further information on this topic can be found in the M51 Operating Manual in the Introduction chapter, in the description of the remote function.
Control example
The switching diagram below, shows you how can activate the Inputs A and B with two keys. The voltage source is provided by + and - on the IR-LINK . Key control: INPUT A/B

Connection: M200 Relay output Socket: Relay A B The two relays each offer 5 options that can be selected with the Input and Input softkeys. The Options menu is called by pressing the Setup key on the Domotic interface. Using the softkeys you can access page #2, which gives the following display on the M 5 1 :
Function
Remote The relays are controlled through the remote control. This function is only available in the M51 is switched on. Open The relay is in idle state. Close The relay is energised. Power On/Off If the M51 is switched on, the relay is energised. In standby mode, the relay is in idle state. Video On/Off The relay is energised if the DVD source is selected. This function can be used to roll out a projector screen or to close window blinds. -Idle state Pos. 1 -Energised Pos. 2
The required option can be selected from an option loop:

Connection: M200 Voltage ramp Socket CONTROL: OUTPUT Using the OUTPUT, you can control the output voltage with the remote control, giving a variable voltage between 0 and 10 volts. This voltage ramp could be used, for example, to set the dimmer control of a lighting system to a desired level. Please ensure that you use the correct polarity when setting up as otherwise you might damage your equipment.
Connection: M200 with IR controller Socket CONTROL: IR- LINK The connection to an IR receiver or a wall-mounted remote control is done through the 3-pin, screw-fixable Phoenix plug connection.
REVOX recommends the use of a 2-core screened cable (microphone cable), where the screening is used as ground. This cable may be a maximum of 30 metres in length.
Please ensure that you use the correct polarity when setting up as otherwise you might damage your equipment. Symbols: + Pos. voltage. 20V (DC) IN IR Signal Ground The maximum number of IR receivers that can be switched in parallel per M200 is 5
The voltage (+ ,- ) on the IP LINK can be used to control the CONTROL: INPUT A B inputs.

Setup #5 - REVOX Plasma-TV
As well as the selection of the video input on the Plasma TV for DVD and TV, the control can, for example, be used for a SAT received. The picture signal for this receiver is connected to the SVideo input on the Plasma TV and the sound is reproduced through the optical digital input Optical on the M51. Now when you select the source Optical at the M51, the Plasma TV switches on automatically with S-Video.
Select audio input
Using the Input softkeys, first select the audio source at the M51, which should activate one of the video inputs selected by you at the REVOX Plasma. You can scroll through the loop of audio inputs that are currently registered at the M51 using Input+ to scroll forwards and Input- to scroll backwards.
Pre-requirements !
The following pre-requirements must be met for the Plasma control to work fully: 1.) Plasma menu: Scart 1 Not used Scart TV RGB input: On scart
2 . ) M 5 1 Remote menu
TV-Hold TV
Disabled Disabled
On the last page of this manual, you will find a table where you can enter your personal Plasma settings.
3.) The IR eye on the Plasma TV must be covered up. 4.) The IO module must be in Slot 6 at the M51.

If you want to return the settings in Setup #5 menu to the factory settings, simply press and hold the Disable softkey until the Setup- #1 page appears again.
Auto Standby
The Auto Standby function enables the Plasma TV to remain switched on, even in the case of selected audio sources that do not activate a video input at the Plasma TV, e.g. the M51 radio tuner.
This resets all input assignments and restores the factory settings.
Auto Standby: ON The Plasma TV switches itself off automatically as soon as an audio source is selected, which either cannot activate a Plasma input, e.g. Tuner, or which is disabled. Auto Standby: OFF After the Plasma TV has been switched on, it remains on permanently until the M51 is switched off, irrespective of which audio source is selected at the M51.
