Boilovers cause smoking and greasy spillovers that may ignite and spread if the microwave vent fan is operating. To minimize automatic fan operation, use adequate sized cookware and use high heat on surface units only when necessary. · Clean Ventilating Hoods Frequently - Grease should not be allowed to accumulate on hood of filter. · When flaming foods under the hood, turn the fan on. · Use care when cleaning the vent-hood filter. Corrosive cleaning agent, such as lye-based oven cleaner, may damage the filter. This appliance must be grounded. In the event of an electrical short circuit, grounding reduces the risk of electric shock by providing an escape wire for the electrical current.
