User guide SANUS COMPONENT FURNITURE ARMOIRE - CFAR47CB

Detailed instructions for use are in the User's Guide.

GIVE YOUR MUSIC A SOUND FOUNDATION! televisions. Put four 1/4"-20 Thin Nuts and four Floor Spikes in front of you. Thread a Thin Nut part way up each Floor Spike. Thread a Floor Spike into each of the four holes in the bottom of the Frames. Turn the Component Foundation back over and place it where you intend to use it. Adjust the Floor Spikes so that the Component Foundation is level and does not rock. Lock the spikes by tightening the nuts against the Frame. 8] Turn the Shelves over with the bottoms facing you; notice the 6 holes in the corners and middle. Remove the backing from the foam rubber side of each Isolation Disc to expose the self adhesive backing; place a disc into each hole in the bottom of the shelves. The self adhesive side faces down, the nylon side faces up and will be visible. Seat the Isolation Discs into the holes with a pen or a phillips screwdriver. (Photo 6 & 7) 9] Turn the shelves over and notice that the holes with the Isolation Discs in them line up with the Shelf Studs. Carefully set the top and bottom Shelf in place so that the Long Shelf Studs fit into the holes in the bottom of the shelves and make contact with the nylon side of the Isolation Discs. Using the Shelf Stud Wrench, adjust the height of the Shelf Studs so that the Shelves are level and flush with the top edge of each Trim Piece. Lock the Shelf studs in place by tightening the Thin Nuts on each spike. Place the Mid Shelf in place and adjust the Small Shelf Studs so that the top of the shelves are level and flush with the Frame's side tubing. (See Photo 7 & 8) 10] The Stud Isolation system is not designed to support more than 120 pounds. If you intend to place a television on the top shelf, put a Plastic Spacer over each top Shelf Stud. Set the Top Shelf in place making sure that the weight of the shelf is on the Plastic Spacers. (See Photo 9) *NOTE: The ends of the Floor Spikes and the Shelf Studs are very sharp and may scratch floors or furniture. All small sharp objects can be hazardous to children. Their use is optional. The decision to use spikes is yours; Sanus Systems will not be liable for damage or injury. Tighten the bolts making sure that the frames stay level and do not twist. (See Photo 2) 3] Put both Mid Shelf Rails in front of you with four 1/2" Bolts. Attach the Mid Shelf Rails to the Frames. Six Short Shelf Studs support the middle shelf. Thread a Thin Nut over each Short Shelf Stud. Thread a Short Shelf Stud into the hole of each Mid Shelf Rail. After the shelf is leveled in step 9, the nut may be tightened to lock the Shelf Stud. (See Photo 3) 4] Two Trim Pieces are included. Attach the Trim Pieces to the Angle Braces with three 1.5" bolts and Plastic Spacers. The Plastic Spacers should be positioned between the Angle Brace and the Trim Piece. (See Photo 4) The bottom of the lower Trim Piece should be 1/4" higher than the bottom of the Frame this is accomplished by positioning the bolt at the lowest point in the slot on the lower Angle Brace. The top of the upper Trim Piece should be flush with the top of the frame this is accomplished by positioning the bolt at the highest point in the slot on the upper Angle Brace. 5] The Long Shelf Studs support the top and bottom shelves. Thread the Long Shelf Studs into the holes in the lower and upper Angle Braces. Thread a Thin Nut on to each Long Shelf Stud. The upper studs require that the thin nut be threaded on to the bottom of the stud under the Angle Brace. After the shelf is leveled, the Thin Nut may be tightened to lock the Shelf Stud. (See Photo 4) 6] The Frames may be filled with shot; this procedure is only necessary when using extremely expensive audiophile grade equipment. Size #4 or #6 steel shot is recommended. Do not use sand! Sand will leak through small seams in the frame and may damage bolt taps. Turn the steel framework upside down. Pour shot into the bottom of the tubing and plug the holes with the Bottom Caps. Turn the steel framework back over. (See Photo 5) 7] The use of Floor Spikes is optional.* Floor spike should not be used with Page 3 * PLEASE READ THE NOTE ON PAGE 4 OF THIS MANUAL! f e d g i PHOTO 2 j h PHOTO 3 3 PHOTO PHOTO 4 1] Place all parts in front of you.
