1 CONNECTING
DEW CAUTION
Condensation can form inside the DVD+VCR when it is suddenly moved from a cold place to a warm or humid environment.In any such circumstance do not use this DVD+VCR 1-1/2 to 2 hours allowing complete elimination of any condensation.
2 Setting the RF Output Channel and Auto Channel Programming

Select the output source (DVD or VCR) to view on the TV screen. To use a VCR, first press VCR. To use a DVD, first press DVD.

Setting the RF output channel
When the DVD+VCR is turned off, press and hold CHANNEL (V/v) on the front panel for more then five seconds to change the RF output channel (CH03 or CH04). "RF 03" or "RF 04" appears in the display window.

select TUNER. Press b/B repeatedly to switch among TUNER, LINE1 and LINE2.
v/V choose the AUTO CHANNEL 4 Pressoption,tothen press b/B to set the SET channel. The tuner will automatically cycle through all available channels (TV/CATV) in the area and place them in the tuner's memory.
After the AUTO CHANNEL SET PROCEEDING is complete, the TUNING menu will hide and return to the TV screen automatically.

When using the Audio/Video cable, set your TV to the VIDEO mode using the TV/VIDEO button on your TV.

Inserting The Batteries
Your REMOTE CONTROL HANDSET is powered by two AAA type batteries. 1. To insert them, push the tab backwards and lift off the cover of the handset. 2. Put the two batteries into the compartment making sure the + and - are correctly positioned. 3. Replace the cover.
· TV : If you are using a standard antenna to receive channels. CATV : If you are using basic cable to receive channels. · Change the setting of TUNING BAND to check the TV channels.

Setting the Clock
Press V to choose the TIME ZONE item. 5 Press b/B to choose the correct time zone
Auto Clock Set
The Auto Clock Set feature is set to ON at the factory. In the ON setting, the DVD+VCR looks for a channel carrying XDS (Extended Data Services) information. XDS updates the clock using the Coordinated Universal Time. The Auto Clock Feature enables the DVD+VCR to set up the clock when the DVD+VCR is turned off.

ote There are cases where the TV station does not send or sends wrong date and/or time information and the DVD+VCR sets the incorrect time. If this happens we recommend that you set the clock manually.
(AUTO, EASTERN, CENTRAL, MOUNTAIN, PACIFIC, ALASKA, or HAWAII). If "AUTO" is selected as the time zone, the VCR sets the clock using the first Coordinated Universal Time information when it finds in a broadcast signal. Press MENU when finished.

Press b/B to choose AUTO, ON, or OFF. If you choose AUTO, the VCR sets the clock using the DST information broadcast in the signal (channel). If you choose ON, the VCR sets the clock when the Daylight Saving Time is started and ended.
