Inserting memory batteries
1 Open the battery compartment. 2 Insert the 2 supplied "AA" size batteries (UM/SUM-3, R6, HP-7 or similar) into the
battery compartment.

Using with the AC power lead
After checking all the connections, connect the AC power lead to the AC power input socket, then to the wall socket. Before connecting the AC power lead, remove the cardboard from the AC power plug.
Battery installation for the remote control

Remove the battery cover. Insert the 2 supplied "AAA" size batteries (UM-4, R03, HP-16 or similar) according to the direction indicated in the battery compartment.
When inserting or removing the batteries, push them toward the battery terminals.
Replace the cover.

Set the ON/STAND-BY switch on the main unit to
ON.
When the ON/STAND-BY switch on the main unit is set to ON, you can also turn the power on or put the unit in the stand-by mode using the ON/STAND-BY button on the remote control. After use:

Discs supporting auto start will start to play once you close the disc tray even if you do not press the PLAY/PAUSE button.
If playback does not start, press the PLAY/PAUSE
button.
To interrupt playback
Press the PLAY/PAUSE button.
To locate the beginning chapter/track (skip)
Whilst a disc is playing, press the or button.

Press the STOP button twice.
Resume play

Fast forward/Fast reverse (search)

Listening to the radio

Press the TUNER/BAND button repeatedly to select the desired frequency band (FM or AM). Press the or button to tune in to the desired station.
When the or button is pressed for more than 0.5 seconds, scanning starts automatically and the tuner stops at the first receivable broadcast station. FM Stereo Receiving Indicator
If trouble occurs
When this product is subjected to strong external interference (mechanical shock, excessive static electricity, abnormal supply voltage due to lightning, etc.) or if it is operated incorrectly, it may malfunction.
If such a problem occurs, do the following:
1 Set the ON/STAND-BY switch on the main unit to and turn the power on again. 2 If the unit is not restored to normal operation, unplug it for a while, then reconnect the power.
