To replace the batteries: 1. Make sure that the power switch is in the OFF position. 2. Press in on both sides of the SL-10L case as illustrated by the two arrows in Fig. C to release the internal tabs. The tab can be seen in Fig. D. 3. Pull the case apart gently. Note: The case is still joined at the bottom. 4. To separate the bottom, work the case back and forth until it is freed from the shoe mount. 5. Replace the batteries. 6. Powerful White LED Technology Model SL-10L Register online at www.simacorp.com Fig. D Introduction The Sima LED Universal Video Light Model SL-10L can be mounted on the accessory shoe of any camcorder by sliding it into place and tightening the mounting screw. If your camcorder does not have a shoe mount, the Sima Video Bracket, (Model SVB-1) can provide a mounting platform. To charge the batteries: 1. Insert the jack on the power cord into the power input jack on the side of the SL-10L (Fig. A). Red LED indicator light, located below the power jack, will turn on. 2. Plug AC transformer into standard 120 VAC wall outlet. 3. Batteries must charge 8 to 10 hours before fully charged. Note: indicator light will not turn Fig. A off when charging is complete. 4. Fully charged batteries will provide approx. 60 to 90 minutes continuous run time. Note: Light does not work with AC adapter plugged in unit's power jack. Warning! Do not overcharge. Unplug after 810 hours charging. Special Notes: The SL-10L video light can also be operated with two standard AAA alkaline batteries. Running time will be less than when using the rechargeable NiMH batteries included with your unit. If using non-rechargeable batteries, do not use AC charger. Supplying current to non-rechargeable batteries can cause them to leak or explode and may damage the unit.
