CAUTIONS 1 BATTERY CAUTIONS 1 2 3 4 5 The operating temperature or storage conditions of alkaline batteries may cause the flash low-battery indicator to blink even when the battery has sufficient power. With continued use, the low-battery indicator will disappear and battery performance will improve. If the blinking low-battery indicator still appears, replace the batteries. Lithium batteries may become hot due to high temperature or successive use. This could trigger the battery's internal thermal safety switch shutting off the circuit and terminating flash charging. Wait until the batteries become cold before using this unit and the flash again. The chart below shows performance data when using new batteries in our standard test environment. Battery performance may decrease at low temperatures. Therefore it is advisable to have a spare set of batteries. Remove the batteries when storing this unit for an extended period of time. / OTHER CAUTIONS 8 This unit is designed for use from 0 °C to 40 °C (32 °F to 104 °F). This unit is not waterproof. If it comes in contact with water, wipe it dry with a clean cloth and take it to the nearest Sony dealer immediately. This unit contains high-voltage circuits. Never attempt to disassemble it. If not, exchange the batteries both in the flash and this unit. The flash has a low-battery indicator. Refer to the low-battery indicator when exchanging the batteries in the flash. The low-battery indicator shows low battery when recycle time is short but battery capacity is low.
