SP-5CLCC Center Channel Speaker: Your center channel speaker should be centered above your television's location, as this speaker serves as the anchor and ties the sound dialogue to the visual screen. On a large television where putting the center channel above it would be prohibitively high, the center channel may be placed below it. The ideal height for the center channel speaker would be to align the speaker's tweeter height to match the ear level of the listener when seated. The high-powered Ciela SurroundTM Center Channel speaker incorporates a shielded/wrapped magnet design on the speakers to safeguard your television's screen. SP-6CLW & SP-8CLW In-Wall Speakers The in-wall speakers of the Ciela SurroundTM Series should be placed on the forefront wall facing the prime listening area. Each speaker in the pair should be placed at equidistant points to the left and right of the center of the television equal to half the listener's distance from the speakers. For example, if the listener will be ten feet away from the speakers, the speakers should be installed five feet from the center on each side of the television to horizontally position the center of each in-wall speaker. In-wall speakers should always have at least 2 feet of wall clearing on the outer side. The height of the speaker should be established by matching the height of the tweeter on the faceplate of the in-wall speakers to the same height as the ear level of those who will be seated listening to the speakers. Once the in-walls speakers are installed, pivot the adjustable tweeter on each in-wall speakers' faces at a 20-degree angle towards the listening area. In addition, select both the decibel adjustment switches on the tweeter and the woofer to the listener's preference. SP-6CLC & SP-8CLC In-Ceiling Speakers The in-ceiling speakers of the Ciela SurroundTM Series should be placed in the ceiling slightly behind the listener's seated position leaving at least two feet from the walls in every direction. They should be aligned with the positioning of the in-wall speakers. See diagram on adjacent page. Once the in-ceiling speakers are installed, pivot the adjustable tweeter on each in-ceiling speakers' bridges at a 20-degree angle towards the listening area. In addition, select both the decibel adjustment switches on the tweeter and the woofer to the listener's preference. For home theater rooms where the ceiling is more than 12 feet high, a pair of Ciela SurroundTM in-wall speakers can be substituted for the in-ceiling speakers. Position the speakers on the side walls slightly behind the listening area at the same height as the forefront in-wall speakers leaving at least 2 feet from an adjacent wall. SP-8CLSW Subwoofer The Ciela SurroundTM Series' subwoofer is omni-directional and can be placed anywhere within your listening room. It is recommended that you install your subwoofer at a low height, tightly in the corner of the room so that speaker can reproduce deeper bass by the accompaniment of the corners in the wall. 14 gauge UL listed wire is recommended for all speakers. Speco Technologies offers a limited 15-year warranty on indoor speakers. Please consult enclosed warranty card. Every room has its unique qualities, so speaker positioning will vary with almost every application. Some peripheral considerations for surround sound would be room characteristics. Understand that furniture-free rooms with hard wood floors would resonate sound at a greater degree than the same room with furniture, curtains and carpeting as these absorb sound.
