Since the printing of the manual for the 788, it has been found necessary to make a number of small corrections to the manual. This sheet summarizes these corrections. We strongly suggest that you keep this sheet with the original documentation for reference, and if necessary, amend the relevant parts of the original manual. We apologize sincerely for any inconvenience this may cause.

The 788 shows the disks, rather than the drives, connected to the unit.

Disks in the list are identified by their SCSI ID numbers (from 0 through 6; ID 7 is reserved for the788's internal controller). If the disks are divided into partitions, the partitions are listed as Part1, Part2, etc. To assign an input source (INPUTs A through D, the AUX INPUTS, the recorded TRACKs, the STEREO mix or the SUB MIX) to a mixer channel:

Partitions are only listed after a disk has been formatted and appear when a disk or partition is to be selected. The SUB MIX cannot be assigned to a mixer channel, but can be assigned to the stereo outputs. --

For example, if the MIDI timecode master starts the timecode playback at 00:57:00:00, and the actual piece starts at 01:00:00:00, you might want to enter an offset of 3 minutes, so that when the piece starts, the ABS time on the 788 display shows 01:00:00:00 (see "The time display" on page 26).

Also note that in the Brief Guide, it is mentioned that "two balanced XLR to unbalanced 1/4-inch jack adaptors for use when recording using balanced sound sources" are provided with your 788. In fact, these adaptors provide balanced XLR to balanced 1/4 inch TRS jack facilities.
