Tower112 Installation - AMD K7 Installation - AMD K8 Installation - Intel P4 Installation - Intel LGA775 Installation 01 06 12 18 23 00 K7 >> LGA775 >> 13 K7 Installation Holding screw and using screwdriver to tight screw. Repeat on all four screws. Make sure the full contact between the CPU core and the heat sink. 14 15 16 Tighten additional nut to each screws to ensure proper installation. Connect the fan connector to the motherboard's fan connector. Before installing, please make sure components shown are available. ( Tower112 can support 80mm & 90mm fans, fan is optional. ) Installation complete. Important!! Mounting of the Tower112 onto the processor is extremely critical. Please take a few moment to make sure that all four screws are securely evenly and securely. 01 22 LGA775 >> K7 >> 10 Secure the plate by the smaller screws included. Place the "H" type plate over the heat sink as shown. 1 Secure the fan (Please note the direction of the fan). 11 Place the heat sink on the CPU core. O Note: The direction of the CPU fan should face DDR or PCI slot. X 2 3 Remove motherboard from the case. 12 Press the "H" plate with one hand and tighten the nuts to each screws with the other hand. Turn to back side of the motherboard, and align the "H" insulator and the Mylar to the four holes. 4 Place the "H" metal back plate directly over the Mylar. "H" Plate Mylar Insulator Motherboard 21 02 K7 >> LGA775 >> 5 Insert the screws through the four holes pointed out. 6 Insert the screws through the holes as shown. 6 Turn to front side of the motherboard and place the washers on to the four screws. 7 Turn to the front side of the motherboard and place the washers on to the four screws. 8 Place and tighten four nuts all the way down. 7 Place and tighten four nuts all the way down. 9 Apply a thin layer of included thermal compound onto the processor. 8 Apply a thin layer of included thermal compound onto the processor. The thickness should be between 0.1mm to 0.2mm. 03 20 LGA775 >> K7 >> 1 2 3 4 5 Secure the fan as shown. 9 10 Place the smaller "H" metal back plate over the heat sink. Remove motherboard from the case. Place the heat sink on the CPU core (Please note the direction of the placement ). Important!! Turn to back side of the motherboard. Do not secure the clip unless you are sure that the indented part of the copper base is sitting snugly on the raised part of the CPU socket. Failure to do so will void the warranty, result in poor cooling, and could damage the CPU chip. Align the "H" insulator and the Mylar to the four holes. O Note: The direction of the CPU fan should face DDR or PCI slot. X Place the "H" metal back plate directly over the Mylar. "H" Plate Mylar Insulator Motherboard 19 04 K7 >> LGA775 >> 11 Press the "H" plate with one hand and tighten the nuts to each screws with the other hand. 12 Holding screw and using screwdriver to tight screw. Repeat on all four screws. Make sure the full contact between the CPU core and the heat sink. Then, tighten additional nuts to each screws to ensure proper installation. LGA775 Installation 13 14 Connect the fan connector to the motherboard's fan connector. Before installing, please make sure components shown are available. Please take a few moment to make sure that all four screws are securely evenly and securely. 05 18 P4 >> K8 >> 17 18 Press the "H" plate with one hand and tighten the nuts to each screws with the other hand. Holding screw and using screwdriver to tight screw. Repeat on all four screws. Make sure the full contact between the CPU core and the heat sink. K8 Installation 19 20 21 Tighten additional nut to each screws to ensure proper installation. Connect the fan connector to the motherboard's fan connector. Before installing, please make sure components shown are available. ( Tower112 can support 80mm & 90mm fans, fan is optional. ) Installation complete. Important!! Please take a few moment to make sure that all four screws are securely evenly and securely. 17 06 K8 >> P4 >> 1 Secure the fan as shown. 14 Apply a thin layer of included thermal compound onto the processor. Note: Too much compound will decrease the performance of the CPU fan. The thickness should be between 0.1mm to 0.2mm. 2 Remove motherboard from the case. 15 Place the "H" type plate over the heat sink as shown. 3 Remove the two screws from the retention module. 16 Place the heat sink on the CPU core. O Note: The direction of the CPU fan should face DDR or PCI slot. X 4 This image shows the retention module was removed. 07 16 P4 >> K8 >> 10 Place the "H" metal back plate directly over the Mylar. "H" Plate Mylar Insulator Motherboard 5 Turn to the back side of the motherboard and remove the back plate. 11 Insert the screws through the four holes. 6 12 Place the washers on to the four screws. This image shows the back plate was removed. 7 13 Place and tighten four nuts all the way down. Align the "H" insulator and the Mylar to the two holes. 8 Place the "H" metal back plate directly over the Mylar. "H" Plate Mylar Insulator Motherboard 15 08 K8 >> P4 >> 9 Insert the screws through the holes as shown. 5 6 Turn to the back side of the motherboard and locate four pins pointed out. Using sharp point pliers, push the pins into the motherboard. 10 Turn to the front side of the motherboard and place the washers on to the two screws. Place and tighten two nuts all the way down. 7 Repeat the former step on all four pins. 11 Apply a thin layer of included thermal compound onto the processor. 8 Note: Too much compound will decrease the performance of the CPU fan. The thickness should be between 0.1mm to 0.2mm. The figure shows the motherboard with Retention removed. 12 9 Align the "H" insulator and the Mylar to the four holes. Place the "H" type plate over the heat sink as shown. 09 14 P4 >> K8 >> 1 Secure the fan as shown. 13 Place the heat sink on the CPU core as shown. O Note: The direction of the CPU fan should face DDR or PCI slot. X 2 3 Remove motherboard from the case. 14 Using pliers, remove the four push-pins from the retention module. Press the "H" plate with one hand and tighten the nuts to each screws with the other hand. 4 This image shows the retention module with all four push-pins removed. 15 Holding screw and using screwdriver to tight screw. Repeat on all screws. Make sure the full contact between the CPU core and the heat sink. 13 10 K8 >> P4 >> 16 17 18 Tighten additional nut to each screws to ensure proper installation. Connect the fan connector to the motherboard's fan connector. P4 Installation Installation complete !! Important!! Mounting of the Tower112 onto the processor is extremely critical.
