UFREE SCOOTER www.scooter-manufacturer.com Gas Scooter FS-G18 MANUAL INSTRUCTIONS UFREE SCOOTER www.scooter-manufacturer.com Instruction manual for gasoline scooter This scooter is a small gasoline powered scooter and it adopts a powerful engine of two strokes, single cylinder, with electric start. The engine we used has a centrifugal hoofed friction clutch, decelerates by a gear wheel, chain driven, and has low fuel consumption. This scooter has a fashionable and accurate speed meter, motorcycle-like big headlight; with both front and rear turn signals. Also it is mounted with front and rear shock suspension, a comfortable soft cortex seat and a backrest. In order to combine characters of the two wheel and three wheel scooter into one and keep the scooter stably, we make a double juxtaposed wheels for the rear wheel, making the scooter's whole structure very compact, the style being very beautiful and fashionable, it looks like a small prince style motorcycle, and it is very comfortable while you ride it. I. Important notice Please operate according the accurate safety instructions so as to avoid collisions or falling down. Once you find some abnormities while you are operating this scooter, please turn off the engine and pull this scooter. To ride this scooter, you must have good eyesight, good balancing and harmonizing ability, be healthy, can react promptly, and have a good judgment. 1. Please read this instruction manual carefully before you ride this scooter. Be sure to understand the characters of this scooter, the operating and maintaining ways so that you can operate this scooter accurately. 2.Youth and children are not permitted to use this scooter without any adult's supervision. 3.Do not ride on the uneven, tarring slushy or sanded road. 4.Do not ride on Public Street, highway or free way. 5.Do not operate this scooter without wearing appropriate safety equipments such as helmet, safety shoes, protecting clothes, kneecap and cuff. 6.Do not operate this scooter while there is electronic magnetic induction or you have ever taken some medicine or wine. 7.Be sure to hold on to the handle while you are riding this scooter. 1 UFREE SCOOTER www.scooter-manufacturer.com 8. Do not speed excessively. Appropriate speed is up to the landform, visibility, operating status, and your experiences. 9. Do not try to jump or do stunt. 10.Before operating every time, please check in advance so as to keep the scooter is always in good condition. 11.Do not ride it on the steep hill or slopes. 12.Do not run too fast when you turn. 13.Keep the air pressure of all wheels appropriate. (It is free of filling air if using solid tire. 14.The fuel is a flammable product; please keep it far away from fire, especially while you are filling the tank. 15.Do not touch the engine or the muffler during operating, as they are very thermal. 16.Keep your body and clothes far away from the driven belt or the chain 17. Should there be some differences or unconformities between the instruction manual and the real products due to improvements, please be understanding. II. Assembling and adjusting instructions. 1. ASSEMBLING 1.1 Open the carton and take out the scooter. (See figure 1) 1. 2 Turnover and fasten the handle bar folding assembly, so as to keep the scooter stable (See figure 2) Figure 1 Figure 2 2 UFREE SCOOTER www.scooter-manufacturer.com 1.3 Check the functions of all electric switches and the displayers if they are working well. 1.4 Install the handle bar (See figure3 ) 1.5 Install the backrest; fasten the four-panhead rivet in the backrest. 2 Adjust the front brake 2. 1 Adjust the brake functions of the front brake with a adjust bolt, the wheel won't turn when you unclasp the brake handle, and the brake rubber will reposition once you loosen the brake handle. (See figure4) Figure 3 3 Adjust the rear brake Figure 4 3.1 Adjust the brake functions of the rear brake with a adjust bolt, the wheel won't turn when you unclasp the brake handle, and the brake rubber will reposition once you loosen the brake handle. (See figure 5). 3. 2 Replace with a new brake when the brake rubbers are worn out seriously, 4 Dismantle the front wheel and maintenance 4.1 Loosen the nuts of the front axis, remove the falling-off protection gaskets and the fastening bolt in the expansion brake, and remove the front wheel following the direction of the hatch. (See figure 6) 4. 2 Be attention to put the claw of the falling-off protection gaskets into a small hole with 6. 5, fasten the nuts in the front axis, install the expansion brake fasten bolt. After installing, when you turn the front wheel, any locking or loosening is not allowed to occur. 3 UFREE SCOOTER www.scooter-manufacturer.com Figure 5 Figure 6 5 Adjusting the chain (See figure 7) 5£º 1 Loosen the nuts in the rear axis. 5.2 Turn around the fishing bolts of both sides to make the rear wheel move backwards, make the elasticity appropriate and agile in turning, and then fasten the nuts in the rear axis. 6 Dismantle the rear wheel (See figure 8) 6.1 Loosen the nuts in the rear wheel, remove the chain and the fasten bolts in the band brake, and then you can take out the rear wheel. 6. 2 While installing, you can firstly harness the chain, then adjust the whole sets of fish bolts, make the elasticity of the chain appropriate, and fasten the nuts in the rear axis. Check the accelerators handle if it is workable and agile, check the reliability end agility of the front and rear wheel. Once you find it fails in braking, adjust it in time. 2. Check the air pressure of the front and rear wheel if it is appropriate, the pressure should be 85P.S . I . If the pressure is excessive, it shall cause some jounces, if less pressure, it shall affect the speed and waste too much fuel. If you find the pressure not enough, fill in air in time (See figure 8) 3. Adjust the transmission parts regularly, fill in some lubricants to make it agile in turning. 4. Check the bolts and nuts of the whole vehicle if they are loosen, so as to avoid accidents due to the loosening or falling off the bolds of nuts. 5. Keep the scooter clean, do not keep it in that place where it is damp, in a over-high temperature or there are some corrupt gas. IV. Instructions for riding 1. Preparing procedures: Check the interrupt switches, spark plug, and in-out fuel tube if they are connected well. Mix the leadless gasoline and the high quality two-stroke machine oil in a ratio of 25: 1, into the gas tank equally, during the grinding-in (500 Km) the mixture ratio is 20:1. 2. Press the small oil cup under the carburetor for several times, watch if there is air in the in-oil tube, and if oil can flow smoothly in the out-oil tube (See figure 9) 3. Pull the manual start handle for several times or press the start switch, the engine shall be started.(See figure 11-1 , See figure 11-2), then open the air gate adjuster, then you can ride the scooter. If you have troubles in starting, you can open the air gate adjuster slightly, turn backwards the accelerator, then speed up slightly, pull the start handle, the engine shall work, then open the air gate adjuster. 6. Right riding: When you start the scooter or you are climbing, turn backwards the accelerator then speed up slightly, the power will increased and the speed shall be higher. 7. Stop the scooter: Turn off the electric key; the engine shall be off. (See figure 12)¡£ Figure 12 6 UFREE SCOOTER www.scooter-manufacturer.com V Maintenance 1.Before every starting, check the fuel volume in the gas tank, if it is not enough, you should fill in fuel, check the bolts and nuts if they are loosen, if there is leakage. 2.Warm up for 3 to 5 minutes after cold starting up of the engine, then increase the loading. 3. The grinding-in is very important to the engine. During the first 20 hours, DO NOT open the air gate adjuster. After this 20 hours, maintain the engine completely, and check once the air filter every 20 hours, clean the spark plug and adjust the spark plug clearance to 0.6--0.7mm every 50 hour, clean the gas tank. Clean the carbons in the ignition case and the muffler; check the connector of the interrupter if it is connected well. 4.Do mix fuel according the instructed fuel number and the mixture ratio so as to maintain the usage life of the engine. 5.Once some troubles occur, you should have your engine checked and repaired by the special maintenance man. VI. Trouble shooting 1. Difficult to start 1.1.Check the fuel way if it is smooth, if there is air in the fuel tube, presses the oil cup under the carburetor for several times so as to pump fuel into the carburetor. 1.2. Check the spark plug and the connecting wire. 1.3. Check the fuel and the mixture ratio of the fuel if they are correct, and if the in-oil tube of the oil filter is blocked. 1.4. Check if the air filter is blocked. 1.5. If the interrupter switch is of short circuit. 1.6. If you still cannot start the engine even you try many a time to start, it may cause the fuel in the cylinder be too much, then you can take off the spark plug, clean up the fuel in the cylinder and have it vaporized, re-start the engine after installing it again. 1. 7. Take off the spark plug and check if the electrode clearance of spark plug is between 0.6--0.7mm and clean up the carbons among the electrode of the spark plug. 1.8. Connect the spark plug wire, pull the manual start to see if the spark plug shall flame. 7 UFREE SCOOTER www.scooter-manufacturer.com 2. No high speed for the engine 2.1. Check if the air gate adjuster is open. 2. 2. Check if the fuel way is smooth, 2. 3. Adjust the empty fuel concentration bolts. 3. The engine can be started but being off during running. 3.1. Check if the air filter is blocked 3. 2. Check if the muffler and the fuel way are blocked. 3. 3. Adjust the idle speed bolt, (See figure 13), the higher while follow clockwise direction and the lower while follow anti-clockwise direction. Figure 13 4. The engine is idle. 4.1.The wind flow hole in the gas cap is blocked by dunghills. 4.2.There are dregs or leakages in the fuel way, or the oil filter in the in-oil tube is blocked by dunghills. VII. Storage The engine should be stored in an environment with a temperature of at -200C-500C lower than and the relative humidity no more than 80%, and being good ventilated, also it should be kept away from flammable products and corrodible products.
