CONGRATULATIONS
on purchasing one of the best all round children's and adult's ATV/quad bikes in the world. Besides being one of the most powerful, it has loads of unique features, to make the Mini ATV one of the easiest to ride and most exciting kids quads ever. 1. The engine is a little four stroke for reliability, ease of starting and easy maintenance. 2. The Mini ATV has a little light and music horn (buyer's option) to delight the kids. 3. The quad has its own safety keys -just like Dads(also a safety feature - they can be locked away). 4. The Mini ATV has a self-starter so any little kid will be able to start it alone. 5. One brake stops the little quad - so there is no confusion for little tots. 6. A governor on the handle bar can be set to only allow the Meerkat to travel very slowly for beginners. 7. A cut out switch is located behind the quad and if a cord is attached to this, a parent can walk behind the little rider and by pulling on the cord, the quad will cut out and stop. This safety device will help you ensure the child's safety. 8. Its uniquely small size and light weight make it easy for a child to handle and easy to load into the family car. 9. Bouncy tyres, rear suspension and various gear options with a strong engine will ensure this little bike can go anywhere. 10.The Mini ATV's low cost, sturdy design and aggressive looks, makes it an instant hit with kids. SAFETY INFORMATION
Safety is extremely important when allowing very young children to ride. Children have different levels of skills and co-ordin at the same age, so only a parent can understand their child's capabilities. If a parent decides to allow their child to ride a motorized vehicle, it is essential that they realize that the child's safety rests entirely in their hands. The child must NEVER be unsupervised. The quads power and speed must be set to match the capabilities of the child at all times. The parent is the only person responsible for the safety of the child and by allowing the child to ride a quad, the parent accepts that this is his sole responsibility and risk. The governor on the quad should be set to allow the child to only travel at a walking pace while learning. The area that the child is allowed to ride in must be free of obstacles that could be a danger to the child and free of people and animals that could be injured. As the child's capabilities increase, the speed can be gently increased, always only to a safe level. The Mini ATV is a unique vehicle as the gear box can also be locked into 1st gear for beginners, driving like an automatic. When the child has more experience, the gearbox can then be locked into second gear by placing the gear lever back on and moving it into second gear and then removing the gear lever again. The quad will still go like an automatic. For older and more experienced kids, the gear lever can now be left on and the quad now has four semi--automatic gears. This unique design can now take the child from beginner to expert, when they graduate to the next size quad. Please read and apply all the safety information in this booklet and on the quad. This quad is designed for off road use only.

TEACHING TECHNIQUES
* This advice is for children on smaller ATVs, but applies equally to beginners of all ages. * Instructing the rider. * Important advice to parents, teachers, or instructors. Your pupils' safety depends on your commitment to take the time necessary to fully educate him/her on the proper operation of the ATV. Remember that proper instruction before your pupil begins to ride is just as important as proper instruction and supervision during riding. Please go through this manual with your pupil page by page, fully explain all of the instruction, requirements and warnings it contains. Be sure to put as much emphasis on safety precautions as on proper operational techniques. Question your pupil as you go through the manual to make certain he/she understands what you are saying. Following is a step by step guide to help make your pupil's first use of the ATV is a safe and enjoyable experience. Before you begin to use this guide, however, be sure you have reviewed the vehicle features and riding techniques described in earlier parts of this manual. Mini ATV strongly urges that you use this guide to teach each pupil that you let ride the ATV. Be sure to take breaks as the pupil being instructed gets tired, or his/her attention begins to wander. Full attention at all times is needed to safely operate any motorized vehicle, including the ATV. STEP 1-PROPER CLOTHING AND PROTECTIVE GEAR The first step to safe riding is proper protection of the rider. Your pupil should always wear a helmet, eye protection, gloves, long pants, a long sleeved shirt or jacket, and boots. Make sure your pupil is not wearing any loose fitting clothes. Loose belts, scarves, etc, can get caught in moving parts and cause personal injury. Even in hot weather, make sure pupil wears ling pants and a long sleeved shirt. These not only protect against abrasive injuries, but also help to reduce fatigue which comes from loss of body heat due to the wind.

STEP 2-FAMILIARIZATION WITH THE VEHICLE your pupil should become completely familiar with the names and functions of all controls. Demonstrate operation of the controls if necessary. Ask the pupil to do such things as "Apply the brakes, Turn off the engine.....,etc". Practice this exercise until the pupil can operate all of the controls without hesitation and without looking at the controls. Go over the "INSPECTION BEFORE RIDING "with your pupil until he/she knows all the items that should be checked. Give specific examples of things to look for. STEP 3-STARTING OFF AND STOPPING To help your pupil develop confidence, he/she should PRACTICE FIRST WITH THE ENGINE OFF, as follows: 1. Have your pupil sit on the ATV. 2.Instruct your pupil to keep his/her eyes straight ahead slowly push the vehicle from behind, This will allow your pupil to get the feel of riding a moving vehicle. 3.As you push the ATV instruct your pupil to steer straight ahead and perform operations such as stopping the vehicle and turning off the engine switch while moving. Watch your pupil closely to make sure he/she is operating the controls correctly and without looking at the controls. 4.As you approach the end of the practice area, tell the rider to stop the vehicle. You should drag the rear end of the ATV around, so you can push it straight ahead in the opposite direction. 5.Practice with the engine off until your pupil gets the feel of using the brakes and can stop the vehicle and turn off the engine switch without looking at the controls, and without hesitation.
9

STEP 4-ADJUST THE SPEED LIMITER TO SLOW NOW.
Next; Start the ATV's engine and have your pupil practice starting off, riding in a straight line, and stopping, with the vehicle under power. Walk along side of the ATV and hold the engine cut out switch cord, or have the pupil ride back and forth between you and another supervisor. Make sure your pupil. 1. Opens the throttle gently when starting off. 2. Releases the throttle and applies the brakes in sequence when stopping. 3. Becomes aware of the distance it takes the vehicle to stop when the engine switch is turned off while the vehicle is moving. As you approach the end of the practice area, you should again tell the rider to stop the vehicle, and get off, so you can turn if/around for him/her. Practice this exercise until your pupil can start off, accelerate, cruise and stop correctly and with confidence.
STEPS-TURNING
After your pupil has learned to ride the ATV in a straight line and can stop it when he/she wants to, you should teach the pupil now to turn the vehicle. Explain the proper body movements for turning, and let your pupil PRACTICE FIRST WITH THE ENGINE OFF, as you push the vehicle from behind. When turning, watch to make sure your pupil: 1. Shifts his/her weight slightly forward and supports his/her weight on the outer footrest. 2. Leans his/her tipper body into direction of turn, pressing down with their opposite leg. When the rider is able to properly turn the ATV in both directions with the engine off, he/she should practice turning with the vehicle under power. Again, make sure that the throttle limiter is adjusted to provide a low maximum speed capability. Watch closely to make sure the rider is using the proper technique. The rider should practice turning until he/she can do it correctly and with confidence.
10
UFREE SPORTS VEHICLE
www.scooter-manufacturer.com
STEP 6- PUTTING IT ALL TOGETHER When your pupil has mastered the basic riding manoeuvres in the previous steps, he/she should practice them all together. Instruct the rider to perform various manoeuvres such as turning right, turning left, stopping...., etc. Mix up the order of these manoeuvres so the pupil will not knowwhat he/she will be asked to do next. Practice this exercise until you are confident the rider has mastered all the basic manoeuvres. The above step will help the first time rider learn the most basic riding techniques. To become a skilled rider, your pupil will need a great deal of practice and instruction after these steps have been completed. After all the riding techniques have been mastered, you can adjust the throttle limiter, to provide higher speed capabilities, according to the riders skill and experience.
