This may cause the battery explode. · Do not expose the charger to moisture or water. · To avoid damage to battery do not use charger if dropped or damaged in any way. · Keep hands and feet away from moving parts. · Do not touch the motor or wheels while they are rotating. · Avoid gravel, sand, grass, mud, water and rough surfaces. · Never ride with more than one person on scooter. · Brakes are designed to control speed as well as the vehicle, Practise braking for slow down and smooth stops. · Never drink alcohol before operating vehicle. · Never leave small children unattended with vehicle. ALWAYS WEAR A HELMET AND SAFETY GEAR 4 UFREE SCOOTER www.scooter-manufacturer.com OPERATION AND FEATURES ASSEMBLY 1. Lift the handlebar and put the fixed handle into the front fork, then tighten the quick lock. 2. Put the pole of the seat into the fixed tube then tighten the lock. 3. Fit front wheel into forks and tighten bolt with tools provided. 4. Please ensure all locks and bolts are fully tightened before use. Attention: when folding does the complete opposite. RIDE AND RANGE Your electric scooter will perform best on smooth and flat terrain. To start your scooter, give it a kick push and turn the speed control switch. Kicking the ground with your feet while the motor is activated to increase your speed and range. With a fully charged battery, your new scooter can cover up to 30 kilometers. Actual speed will depend on a number of variables including load, tyre pressure, battery power, weather conditions, etc, Try to charge your scooter after every ride, no matter how short. OPERATION AND FEATUREASSEMBLY CHARGE BATTERY AFTER EVERY USE 5 UFREE SCOOTER www.scooter-manufacturer.com SPEED-CHANGING SWITCH AND BRAKE HANDLE For safety purposes, your scooter uses a speed-changing switch when released it will return to the "OFF" position. Turn the speed-changing switch towards your body to raise the speed of the scooter and away from your body to lower the speed. The brake handle will momentarily shut off the power and stop the scooter when you press it. To save energy, the braking system will be used only when needed. Always keep brake applied when stationary to avoid accidental activation. POWER SUPPLY SWITCH AND CHARGE SOCKET The power key switch is located on the left side of the scooter. Use this switch to avoid accidental starts. To charge the battery, located next to the key switch is the charge socket. Your charge has two cords on it, one fits the mains 240 volts voltage and the other fits the charge socket that has a lug and will only fit one way. ALWAYS WEAR A HELMET AND SAFETY GEAR 6 UFREE SCOOTER www.scooter-manufacturer.com DRIVE BELT ADJUSTMENT AND REPLACEMENT Periodic adjustment of the drive belt will be necessary to maintain proper tension. If the belt is too loose, it will make a "popping" noise while accelerating, indicating the need for immediate adjustments. Before adjusting the belt drive, disconnect the battery power to prevent accidental starts or shocks. Loosen the rear axle nuts until the wheel can easily move backwards and forwards by hand. Rotate the belt adjuster on the rear axle until the proper tension is achieved. Tighten the axle nuts and recheck the belts tension. Belt needs to be tightened after several hours use when new. If the belt is broken and needs replacement, use the above procedure, but remove the rear wheel entirely to install new belt. ALWAYS DEFLATE THE TYRE BEFORE DISASSEMBLING THE WHEEL REPLACING OR REPAIRING TYRES Remove the wheel from the scooter and deflate tyre. Remove the four hub bolts. Remove the inner and outer wheel and repair or replace tyre. Reassemble the hub being careful not to puncture the inner tyre between the hub halves. Inflate tyre to proper pressure (28-32psi) Reinstall the wheel onto the scooter. CHARGE BATTERY AFTER EVERY USE 7 UFREE SCOOTER www.scooter-manufacturer.com IMPORTANT BATTERY INFORMATION BATTERY CARE 1) Store and charge the battery at a temperature between 50f (10c) and 100f (38c), try to keep your battery charged. Keep the battery terminals clean and the connections tight. 2) Handle your battery and the charger with care and be careful not to dreg Running the battery all the way down is bad for its overall life. Try to charge the battery after every use. Always disconnect the power switch when working on the scooter or for shipping. NEVER CHARGE MORE THAN 12HOURS AT A TIME 3) Re-charge your battery as soon as you can to ensure long life. 4) To protect your battery and ensure long life, the battery should be charged at least once a month even if the scooter is not being used. Do not charge the battery for more than 12 hours. Do not charge your battery in temperatures below 50f (10c). Bring your battery indoors to charge when the weather is cold. CHARGE THE BATTERY Plug the charge socket into the scooter. Plug the power socket into the wall socket (110-240v). Charge battery according to input voltage of the charge Do not charge for more than 12 hours. When charging is complete, remove plug from wall FIRST! Then remove the connector from scooter. Charge the battery for 6-8 hours before first using. ALWAYS CONNECT CHARGER TO SCOOTER BEFORE MAIN POWER IS SWITCHED ON. BATTERY PACK REPLACEMENT Even with proper care, recharging batteries will not last forever. When the battery needs to be replaced, please contact your nearest authorized dealer This product contains a sealed lead-acid battery and it can be recycled. To preserve natural resources, please recycle the battery properly. Law prohibits disposal of lead-acid batteries in ordinary trash.
