Optimum Ergonomics Meet the MX-800 "The Ferrari of Hand-Held Remotes" With Wireless Whole House RF Automation! The IR/RF MX-800 uses the successful combination of LCD screen and hard button technology from the award-winning MX-700 Infrared remote control called the "Ferrari of Hand-Held Remotes" by the editors of RemoteCentral.com. The MX-800 broadcasts radio frequency (RF) signals as well as infrared (IR). Using the MRF-200 RF Base Station the MX-800 can automate infrared A/V components without pointing the remote at all, through walls, floors and cabinet doors, indoors or outdoors. MX-800 Ultimate Customization TM IR/RF Custom Programmed Remote and MRF-200 RF Base Station No More Pointing Radio Frequency Operation Provides 50-100' Range Through Walls and Doors, Indoors and Outdoors RF Addressing Enables any MX-800 to Control Up to 16 Equipment Locations in One House RF Routing Allows Independent Control of a Media Room with Identical Televisions or Identical Components Programs via MXEditor PC Software Replaces Up to 20 Remote Controls Extensive Automation Allows Up to 912 Macro Buttons with Up to 190 Steps Each MRF-200 Radio Frequency (RF) Addressable Base Station MX-800/MRF-200 IR/RF Automation System One Touch Automation Everywhere! Power and Flexibility Extensive Automation Using Macros The powerful memory of the MX-800 offers up to 912 potential macro buttons. Each of these macros can play back recorded sequences of commands that completely automate a complex system with one button press. A macro can record and play back up to 190 steps with time delays between steps when desired. For example: A single press of the ON button could turn on the TV, the Surround Sound system, and the Satellite Receiver, then set the TV to the correct Video Input, the Surround System to the right Audio settings, and finish by selecting your favorite Satellite TV channel. Replaces Twenty Remote Controls The MX-800 controls up to 20 components. Each of the 20 components can be programmed with up to 4 pages of LCD screens plus the 32 hard buttons. The MX-800 allows the installer to edit the text on each LCD screen exactly as you prefer (up to 87 screens with 870 text buttons are available). Windows Based MXEditor PC Software The MXEditor software contains over 1,500 "code sets" of Brand/Models including hard to find and specific discrete codes that allow for precise control of all system components. MXEditor also has the ability to learn new commands from other remote controls and to Live Update the IR database over the internet, guaranteeing compatibility with any component you may add to your system in the future. MXEditor can also be used on a Mac, if the user has a Windows 98, ME, 2000 or XP emulator. One Hand Ergonomics Easier to Use than Original Component Remotes! The optimized layout enables you to naturally reach both the 5-way thumbpad and hard buttons to navigate on-screen menus and the critical Transport, Channel and Volume controls. You'll quickly discover that you prefer using the MX-800 to control all the special features of your system (especially personal video recorders, satellite receivers, DVD players, surround sound receivers and digital cable boxes). There will never be a reason to dig out the old remotes again. 1. The MX-800 remote control sends radio waves in every direction, so you don't have to point the remote anymore. Simplicity via the RF Base Station Up to Sixteen Equipment Locations Controlled from Any MX-800 Each MX-800 can be programmed to operate equipment placed throughout the house, by installing an MRF-200 base station at each location. It's simple: when you select a device located in the home theater, the MX-800 talks to the MRF-200 in that room. This makes possible a dream come true! A macro may be programmed to turn off all of the televisions in the entire house with one button press. Simply install an additional MRF-200 base station at each television location. Control an Array of Identical TVs The MRF-200 enables you to control up to six identical televisions (or identical VCRs, Satellite receivers etc.) by routing your commands only to the TV you select on your MX-800. The other identical TVs will not receive operational commands. 2. The MRF-200's built-in IR Front Blaster sends commands to components in the same cabinet space as the MRF-200. 3. Self-adhesive "Flashers" affix to the Infrared sensors on the front panels of your components. The Flashers relay commands to components out of sight of the MRF-200's Front Blaster. The Flashers plug in to the MRF-200's rear flasher line outputs via their 10 foot cables.
