Before Installing 1) Use a small amount of force : if excessive force is used when installing, the product may warp or be deformed. 2) Zalman Tech. Co., Ltd. is not responsible for any problems arising from using the product outside its intended purpose. 3) HDD coupled with NP Heatpipe HDD Cooler should always be installed in the case with the heatpipes facing up. [Refer to pictures below] (O) (X) 3 8. Installing the HDD 1) Seat the NP Heatpipe HDD Cooler Seat the NP Heatpipe HDD Cooler on the HDD as shown in the diagram. (Note the locations of the holes) Holes HDD A-Type Bolt 2) Fasten the HDD Screw the 4 A-Type Bolts into the holes and firmly tighten. Al Bar HDD 9. Installing the HDD Cooler in the 5.25-inch Drive Bay 1) Install the Dampers & the Ground Wire Install the 4 Dampers in the NP Heatpipe HDD Cooler. Insert the thread of one of the dampers through the ground wire's round terminal for the ground. [Refer to arrow A] Damper A Ground Wire 4 2) Install into 5.25-inch Drive Bay Slide the completed assembly into the PC's 5.25-inch drive bay and firmly fasten with 4 B-Type Bolts. Use one of the B-Type Bolts to link the ground wire's Y-terminal to the chassis. [Refer to arrow B] Note) Tighten the B-type bolts enough so that they are firm, but do not cause distortion of the dampers. B-Type Bolt B 10. Installing the HDD Cooler in the Case 1) Install the Dampers & the Ground Wire Install the 4 Dampers in the holes on the bottom side of the HDD. Insert the thread of one of the dampers through the ground wire's round terminal for the ground. [Refer to arrow C] Ground Wire Damper C 5 Attach the Mounting Hole Sticker to the case in which you wish to install the HDD Cooler and drill 4 holes with 4 drill. Power Supply Mounting Hole Sticker Power Supply B-Type Bolt Put the HDD Cooler on the frame of the case and firmly fasten with 4 B-Type Bolts. Use one of the B-Type Bolts to link the ground wire's Y-terminal to the chassis. Note) Tighten the B-type bolts enough so that they are firm, but do not cause distortion of the dampers. 6 11.
